Auctions

Woodheads are delighted to add to their suite of services with an auction arm.

Auctions are held every 8 weeks or so, meaning that you are never too far away from the next.

The first auction properties of 2019 sold via Woodheads at auction on 1st February and both were an outstanding success.

We follow a traditional method of auction making the process as transparent as possible. The fall of the gavel is considered a legal exchange of contracts and once 10% of the bidding price has been paid and a contract is signed the buyer has 28 days or less upon agreement to complete.

Seller fees - Auction entry fee is £400 including VAT and this is payable directly to the auction house. This is a contribution towards advertising and marketing, entry into the catalogue and into the auction itself. The fee for successfully selling varies depending on the property price - please call us to discuss.

 

Interesting in buying a property at auction?

Note for buyers

When buying at auction we recommend seeking legal advice once the legal pack of a property has been released and thoroughly preparing before bidding.

Ensure all surveys, searches and enquires are answered before the day of the auction and you have arranged to view the property.

On the day of the auction please bring with you Photographic ID (driving licence, passport etc.) and Supporting ID (utility bill, bank/credit card statement etc. dated within the last 3 months).
